António Belard Ribeiro joined AFMA as a trainee lawyer in 2020, after completing his law degree at the Law Faculty of Universidade Nova in Lisbon.

Has a preference for one of the areas of law he works with the most, Consumer Law, as it is an area where he finds a very special balance between doctrine and the real world, and also the experience of mediating the interests and duties of both parties in an equitable manner and with a conciliatory perspective.

Was a trainee at CMVM, which gave him the opportunity to deal with some fundamental concepts regarding the supervision and regulation of the financial market, to get to know its instruments, the agents that operate in it, and to understand its dynamics, which gives him, now at AFMA, a practical insight into legal issues related to matters or activities within the context of CMVM's operation.
